Today we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as a ransom for His people.

• Does the head of the Beast Pope have to cover-up sexual abuses in the Roman Institution? Abuses have been known about by popes for at least 50 years.
• Beck vs Wallis! Who comes out on top?Neither! It is a non-contest! Biblical justice counts!
• Don't work too hard as a census data collector, you'll be fired!
• It is amazing how those wanting tolerance are always so intolerant! It really advances discussion! Oh, yea! Only their own ideas are acceptable!
• The intolerance continues!

Wazzat? will become a journey of the weird, amazing and sometimes unexplained. It will contain humour, serious bits, and well, all kinds of bits.

• Friends don't always do nice. Sometimes they can cause excruciating pain, like this guy!
• God made us male and female, and when one male and one female got married they were to become one. But I don't think God meant it this way!
• Apparently protesters are only allowed to be anti-Bush, pro-abortion demonstrators.
• Sheep in wolves clothing get a new meaning. Being like the Jones' will just lead you astray!
• Tax the stuff that causes the non-existent global warming! That way we can control the woooorrlldd! This new tax bill will allow anyone to sue the government if such complainant feels he is a global warming victim! Strange but true!
• When theology worships Elvis!
• Did you know God's will was lost? Many people are still trying to find it!
• Since when is exposing bad treatment of the elderly bad? Apparently, in Britain, evil is good and good evil!
• Sometimes the weird and odd looking can truly surprise us!

Somehow Johnny Cash got a whole bunch of famous stars to appear in the video of his song called, "God's gonna cut you down." It tells the story of God's wrath on sinners.

Some of those I recognized are: Chris Rock, Kris Kristofferson, Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, Sheryl Crow, Woody Harrelson, Dixie Chicks, Sharon Stone, Bono, Lisa Presley, Kid Rock, the ugliest guy from the Rolling Stones, Johnny Depp, Whoopi Goldberg and Owen Wilson.

Problem with email posting

I have experienced problems with posting to my blog via email.

I have sent 3 emails already that just didn't go through.

So, today I decided to post via Blogger. Then about an hour and a half later one of the mails I sent yesterday came through today, thus creating the same post twice!

Is there anyone who knows what is going on?

Last Week's Highlights

Last week and the week before that brought quite a bit of writing back and forth about the Emergent Church (EC) and postmodernism (pomo) on the God blogosphere, some with eloquence and some with vitriolic doom! So, none of those will make it to last week's highlights.

 

• Bob Kauflin wrote a very interesting piece about idolatry in our worship services. Part 2.
• Al Mohler, as usual, wrote a thought provoking article on abortion.
• Phil on worldliness. Need I say more? A good read.
• Fred Butler continued his study against the arguments for KJVOnlyism.
• Tim Challies started (?) with an interesting piece on the theology of profanity. I would like to see this expanded some more!
• Does it really matter to the church if someone actually plays music in church worship? Ask Al Mohler.
• Is Divine Election Fair? That is actually the wrong question. However, get the answer from John Samson.

I am starting a new post that I will attempt to do every Monday, time permitting. I will highlight some of the blog posts that have caught my eye the previous week ranging from the previous Monday to Sunday.

• Phil Johnson from PyroManiac showed us last week that he is actually a sensitive person when his heart almost bursting out of his chest with pride for his son.
• Steve at Triablogue gave an excellent second review on the Revenge of the Sith, the sixth movie made by George Lucas in the Star Wars double trilogy.
• Al Mohler highlighted for us what a person (former US president Jimmy Carter) claiming to be a Christian looks like when his worldview is not based on Biblical principles.
• James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries continued his review on The Da Vinci Code.
• Jonathan Moorhead of From the Head of the Moor gave an interesting quote that reminds us that it is bad manners and bad method to ignore what the church fathers have said on the Bible.
• At Answers in Genesis we met the facilities manager of the AIG museum.
• Fred Butler from Hip and Thigh tackled the famous (or infamous) David Cloud of KJV Only fame who is also a committed Calvinism hater.
• It seems that Kevin Jones, The Reluctant Puritan, is concerned with mega-churches that are becoming multi-sight or multi-venue churches.
• Tim Challies posted an excellent guide for personal worship.
• Dave Ulrick, The (In)Scrutable Observer also got on the bandwagon of the spiritual gifts for today (or not!).
• Marco Gonzalez from Reformation Theology started a series on the Gospel of Prosperity. I'd like to see how this unfolds.
• Daniel Phillips of Biblical Christianity gave an interesting review of John Piper's book, God is the Gospel.
