Can we trust the ANC with our children?

Here is a bit of news that it seems South Africans probably could have missed. When it comes to how this government and its courts are handling our children, please also read my post Cheap victims.

The South African Department of Social Development had proposed an amendment to the law which currently allows for children from the age of 12 to be given contraceptives without their parents' consent, to be moved upwards to 14.

However, the National Council of Provinces' select committee on social services has decided to keep that age at 12.

It seems ludicrous that such a young age could ever be acceptable for the distribution of contraceptives. It clearly sends the message to our children that it is morally correct for them to participate in sex at such young ages. Not that it is ever morally acceptable outside of the confines of marriage between one man and one woman.

It simply points to the fact that the ANC-run government in South Africa has absolutely NO idea on how to get children to stop having sex and to live moral lives. Well, that is what you get when you choose not to honour God as a nation and to exclude Him at Constitutional level from the nation.

This government is systematically removing children from the ties of their parents. When children can receive contraceptives at the age of 12 without the knowledge of their parents, it stands to reason that those same parents no longer has a right to teach their chidren any morality at all, since the government has decided that these children may have sex at least from the age of 12.

The government's stance, as with the HIV/AIDS pandemic (5.2m of 47m people infected), is that people are having sex anyhow, so we should at least make it safe for them to participate in murder. That is such a useless argument! We may as well say that people are committing murder anyhow, so let's at least provide them with guns that have safety switches! The government has no idea how to deal with free sex in this country nor can it handle the rate of infections in this country. The reason for this is that they have no base to build a proper moral solution from.

As a result, all the government can do is throw contraceptives and condoms at the problem without solving it. It is totally obvious to anyone with a brain the size of a pea that abstaining from any sexual contact until true marriage is the ONLY solution to our HIV/AIDS problems. Denying this would only prove the premise that our government, and those that deny it, have no idea what morality constitutes and how to build a moral base to live from.

It makes my heart ache to think that the ANC government has no real solution to the sex problems in this country while untold thousands of people are dying each year as a result of that very moral-less base the ANC is trying to run this country from!

It will be good for every political party in South Africa to heed this chapter from the book of Psalms, but especially the ANC! Christians sitting back not doing anything should also listen to what the Lord says!

"O LORD, God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, shine forth! (2) Rise up, O judge of the earth; repay to the proud what they deserve! (3) O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult? (4) They pour out their arrogant words; all the evildoers boast. (5) They crush your people, O LORD, and afflict your heritage. (6) They kill the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless; (7) and they say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive." (8) Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? (9) He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? (10) He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge-- (11) the LORD--knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath. (12) Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD, and whom you teach out of your law, (13) to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked. (14) For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; (15) for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. (16) Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers? (17) If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence. (18) When I thought, "My foot slips," your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. (19) When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. (20) Can wicked rulers be allied with you, those who frame injustice by statute? (21) They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. (22) But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. (23) He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out."

Just thinking...
