Yesterday was Human Rights day in South Africa. Every year a huge thing is made of this day. However, did it ever occur to those who give rights and those who desire these rights that rights can be given and rights can be taken away!
Human rights are definitely not based on any objective sense of what is right and what is wrong. It is a political game with certain rules that apply to the game today. However, it is a changing game and those rules may change by tomorrow. It all depends on the political landscape.
If the political landscape is divorced from God's unchanging laws and principles all set out in the Bible, then do not expect to have the same "Human Rights" tomorrow!
Take care who you put your trust in, as that will determine your future ad infinitum.
