The Story of Calvinism

For Calvinists and non-Calvinists Phil Johnson, the PyroManiac, gave a sermon on a brief history of Calvinism.

This is perhaps the best short history of Calvinism I have heard. In this sermon, Phil shows how Calvinism is no new novel idea started by John Calvin himself. In fact, if Calvin thought that his theology was new, he probably would have dropped it. The point is, Calvinism, or the doctrines of Calvinism actually existed all the way from the beginning of church history, and other theological systems such as Pelagianism, semi-Pelagianism, Arminianism and today's Open Theism have always been fringe theologies. These fringe theologies are the ones who have continually drifted away from the orthodox view of the church.

Even if you are against Calvinism, you would only do yourself a favour by downloading this sermon and listening to it!

Just thinking...
